In a troubling development, the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office has apprehended a Greenville County man linked to multiple vehicle break-ins across recreation areas in the county. Travis Lamont Boyd, 47, was arrested early on a Thursday morning and later booked into the Oconee County Detention Center.

Boyd faces a slew of charges, including three counts of breaking into a motor vehicle, two counts of petit larceny, and additional charges for grand larceny and malicious injury to property. These allegations arise from three reported incidents on August 30 of this year, where Boyd allegedly targeted vehicles parked at popular local sites.
Theft Details Unveiled
The break-ins occurred at various locations: Fall Creek Landing, where Boyd reportedly smashed a window to steal a Louis Vuitton bag from a 2016 Toyota Corolla; Fish Hatchery Road, where attempts were made to steal personal effects from a 2018 Toyota CH-R; and at the Highway 28 River Access, where valuable items, including bank cards and prescription glasses, were stolen from a 2022 Hyundai Santa Fe.
